This is a stunning condition all matching numbers Russian Officers M1895 Nagant revolver. Dated 1939, it was manufactured at the Tula factory. The M1895 is a seven shot revolver with a unique gas-seal. When cocked the cylinder moves forward, the gap between the cylinder and the barrel closes. This provides a boost to the muzzle velocity allowing the weapon to be suppressed and increase muzzle velocity. A very clever and advanced design for the time. The image gallery shows the gap closing between the cylinders when the action is cocked. They were also used by infamous KGB, who adapted them and used them fitted with a silencer. This early war / Winter War era revolver comes with a period holster, cleaning rod and lanyard cord. Deactivated with a working action.
