Deactivated Falklands War Era British Sterling L2A3 SMG

This is a British MOD Sterling MK4 SMG L2A3, chambered in 9mm. Adopted by the British military in 1956 as a direct replacement for the aging STEN. This model was the last regular version in service with the British Army, seeing action in the Suez Crisis, Falklands War and Northern Ireland to mention a few. This gun dates to the late 1970s and has been MOD refurbished with a coat of Suncorite paint....! The final image is of a two brave members of 3rd Para regiment, one armed with a Sterling, at Mount Estancia, Falklands taken in 1982.
