Deactivated WW2 Lee Enfield No4 MKI* Lend Lease Rifle

This is a WW2 Lee Enfield No4 MKI* "Lend Lease" rifle that was produced by US arms manufacture Savage Stevens, who were contracted to make the Lee Enfield No4 rifles for the British war effort. These rifles bear the inscription "US PROPERTY" . Once received from the US the No4 rifles were issued to British and Commonwealth forces. The Lend Lease Act was signed into law on March 1941, and ended on September 1945 with over 31 billion dollars of aid given to the United Kingdom. Incredibly this debt was only finally paid off in 2006. The historic rifle has been deactivated with a working action.
